Outgoing email settings for Outlook

Modified on Thu, 19 Mar at 1:16 PM

Due to limitations with Outlook security we cannot send email on your behalf using your username and password.

You can use an alternative service like SMTP2go to bypass this, please note that we do not take responsibility for the setup of these accounts or any costs that may ocurr.

Here are instructions to setup the SMTPGO account and how to set it up in Godo Property under Settings -Account - Outgoing email:

Create an SMTP2GO account.

Add your domain in SMTP2GO under Sender Domains.

Add the DNS records (CNAMEs) that SMTP2GO provides into your domain’s DNS.

Verify the domain in SMTP2GO (DNS must turn green).

Create an SMTP user inside SMTP2GO.

Enter SMTP settings into your system/PMS:

  • SMTP server
  • Port (587 or 2525)
  • STARTTLS
  • Username & password

Send a test email once the domain is verified.

Make sure that SMTP Authentication is on in the admin centre at Microsoft 365: Admin Center > Users > Active users > [Select User] > Mail tab > Manage email apps
